Join Family Mensa for a coats-on science adventure (their words).
Magna: The Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham, 12:00, Sunday 18th November 2018.
“So, what’s a coats-on science adventure?” you’d be right to ask. How about over 100 hands-on exhibits - including indoor rain clouds, an explorable Zeppelin, and a presumably hands-off five metre fire tornado?
Magna promises to be an interactive science experience like no other. Set within a converted steelworks over 1/3 mile long, it’s a sprawling cornucopia of fascination – all themed around the classical elements of Air, Earth, Water, and Fire.
As with all Family Mensa events, non-members accompanying a Mensan are very welcome - be they parents, grandparents, siblings or otherwise.
Tickets (available on the day, or discounted online):
Children (4-15) £9.95,
Children (2-3) £4.95
Under 2s Free.
Tickets can also be booked in advance, for a reduced price, at www.visitmagna.co.uk/book-online, and grant a full 12 months of entry.
We’ll meet by the entrance at 11:45, and enter together at 12:00. I’ll, as has become customary, be holding the Mensa logo on a white piece of paper.
Should you be joining us, I'd greatly appreciate an RSVP at email@example.com, to help anticipate numbers and ensure the whole group enters together.
Latecomers remain very welcome, just email me in advance and I'll send you my mobile number, so you can be united with the group.
If you are travelling using a sat nav then the postcode S60 1FD will bring you on to Magna Way, after which Magna is the big, black building straight ahead
From the M1 take Junction 33 if you are travelling from the south and Junction 34 if you are travelling from the north. Magna is about one mile from Meadowhall Shopping Centre
